Drifting of Teeth: Teeth start moving to cover up the gap left by the missing tooth. Opposing tooth starts erupting more; adjacent teeth start moving sideways leading to weak teeth and gums.

Gaps in Teeth: Gaps and spaces start developing between teeth when a missing tooth is not replaced as the balance in occlusion is disturbed.

Dental cavities and gum disease: Due to spaces from not replacing missing tooth, food lodgement starts happening between teeth and under gums leading to dental cavities and gingivitis, which can sometimes progress to periodontitis.

Ridge resorption: if left unattended for a long time, the gums and bones are resorbed making it difficult to wear dentures.

You look older than your actual age: face starts drooping, cheeks become hollow and sunken.

Inability to properly chew food resulting
in a poor digestive function and other health issues like diabetes, blood pressure, indigestion, acidity
